Basic troubleshooting steps for common IE issues:
1. Open Internet Explorer, click Tools > Internet Options.
2. Click Delete Cookies. Click OK when a confirmation window appears.
3. Click Delete Files, select Delete all offline content and click OK to confirm.
4. Select the Advanced tab. Remove checkmark from “Enable third-party browser extensions “. Click OK.
5. Click OK again & restart IE.
If Internet Explorer version is 6, we can also uninstall & reinstall IE from “Add/Remove Windows Components” option in “Add/Remove Programs” located in Control Panel. Make sure to restart computer after removing IE and then reinstalling.
For IE 7 & 8, the options are a little different where we just have a single “Delete” button. Pressing it will open a window asking to check all the items we need deleted. Rest other options remain same.
