So I had this Windows 7 virtual machine running on Oracle Virtualbox and I decided to use it on VMware Workstation. And here’s the process I followed to accomplish this.
NOTE: Virtual Machine must be powered off.
Launch Oracle Virtualbox and select File > Export Appliance
Next select the desired virtual machine to be exported.
Select a location.
Verify appliance settings and click Export.
The process of exporting will begin.
Importing into VMware Workstation
Launch VMware Workstation, select File > Open
Select the OVF file
Enter a desired name and location and click Import.
The importing process starts.
Once complete, you will be able to power on the virtual machine in VMware Workstation.
