Cause:
Programs that have been manually removed by the user or other programs may cause Microsoft Windows Add/Remove programs to be unable to remove the program from the Add/Remove programs list. When this occurs, Microsoft Windows Add/Remove programs may generate the below error:
“An error occurred while trying to remove program. Uninstallation has been cancelled”

Removing programs from the list using TweakUI
– Launch TweakUI (if TweakUI is not installed, use google to download TweakUI and install it).
– In TweakUI click Add/Remove tab.
– In the Add/Remove programs tab, select the programs to remove and click the Remove button.
– Close TweakUI when done.
Removing programs from the list using Windows Registry
Note: Modifying the registry improperly can cause issues with your computer, have a backup and do changes at your own risk.
– Click Start > Run.
– Type regedit and click OK.
– Open the registry key below within the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionUninstall
– In the above registry key, select the program you wish to uninstall, from the right side window and delete it.
