To reset the media center software completely:
1. Close Media Center.
2. Delete the ehshell.config file under C:WindowsDocuments and SettingsAll Users.WINDOWSApplication DataMicrosofteHome.
3. Backup Registry and delete the below registry nodes:
— HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftware MicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionMedia CenterSettings
— HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftware MicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionMedia CenterSettings
4. Restart the computer and reconfigure Media Center
